Ivyleaf Barton is the perfect holiday retreat with tennis on-site and a neighbouring 9-hole golf course, located just 3 miles from the breathtaking north Cornish coast, where glorious beaches and hidden coves abound. This delightful small cluster of converted 19th century barns have been furnished to a very good standard and offer the ideal holiday location for friends and family. Some of the barns enjoy super sea views and the shared courtyard area is the perfect spot to relax, have a barbecue and make the most of the peace and quiet.
Enjoy a game of tennis on the full-size, all weather tennis court or take in a round of golf at the neighbouring golf course, or practise your swing on the 7-bay covered driving range. Learn to surf, sail or canoe with a qualified instructor. Children’s multi-activity days can also be arranged. Tamar Lakes, 3 miles, have coarse and trout fishing, sailing, wind surfing, canoeing and lovely lakeside walks.
The popular coastal resort of Bude, 3 miles, has many activities on offer, including super sandy beaches ideal for surfing, cliff top walks, an 18-hole golf course, an indoor ’Splash’ pool, bowling and a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Horse riding, cycling and boating are available here and the internationally acclaimed annual jazz festival is not to be missed. This is an ideal base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall, with many secluded coves, quaint fishing villages and towns rich in history and legend within easy driving distance. There are numerous NT properties in the area, as well as the RHS Gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Abbey is well worth a visit, as is picturesque Clovelly, with its quaint cobbled streets and harbour. For family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Park are close by, and for a great day out, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are an easy drive. Shop and pub 2 miles.
