This beautifully furnished, large Edwardian maisonette, approximately 50 yards from the cliff top (sea views from balcony) is a five minute walk to Filey golf club, the wide sandy bay and also the park with boating, playground and café. St Oswalds is spacious and comfortable and consists of the first and second floors of the left half of the building in photograph. Bordered by the rocky Brigg and the magnificent chalk cliffs of Bempton (RSPB sanctuary), this stretch of coastline has long been a favourite for families. Ponies on the beach and mini golf on the promenade, this small resort has remained unspoilt over the decades. The larger resort of Scarborough, 6 miles, offers excellent theatre, harbour with boat trips, the Sea Life centre and Water Scene swimming pool. Robin Hood’s Bay, 23 miles, renowned as a smuggler’s haunt, its narrow cobbled streets built into the cliff side. Historic Whitby with picturesque marina and harbour, 30 miles. Other places of interest in the area include Sledmere, Burton Agnes Norman manor house and Castle Howard. City of York 40 miles. Ganton golf club is a short drive and there is excellent walking along the Cleveland Way. Shops, inns, cafes and restaurants all within 100 yards.
