These holiday properties are on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, 2 miles from the picturesque village of Thornton le Dale, and are set on a working farm. This is an ideal touring location from which to explore the North York Moors, the rugged yet beautiful East Yorkshire Coast where miles of Blue Flag sandy beaches and cliff top walks can be enjoyed. The elegant seaside town of Scarborough is approximately 15 miles, whilst Whitby, renowned for its connections with Captain James Cook and Bram Stokers Dracula and with colourful harbour and marina, is 20 miles, and the quaint old fishing villages of Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay. A visit to Goathland, TV’s ’Aidensfield’ and ’Heartbeat’ is a must. Alternatively, the attractive town of Pickering with its North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, market, swimming pool and leisure centre is just a short drive. The historic, walled city of York is just 20 miles, with its wealth of museums, shops, inns and restaurants, together with the beautiful minster and Jorvik Viking Centre. You can even take a leisurely sightseeing cruise on the river. Shops and pub 2 miles.
