A great nearby daytrip can be to the idyllic Netley Royal Victoria Park with its beaches and views of the Solent. Southampton is perfect for shoppers with the West Quay Centre and nearby outlet shopping centres at Whitely and Gun Wharf. In easy reach is the New Forest National Park with its famous ponies, Winchester Cathedral, Stonehenge and historic Portsmouth and dockyard.
