Standing within 30 acres of farmland in the uncommercialised western area of the Lake District National Park, there is a delightful 4 minute walk down to the River Ehen where you can enjoy tranquillity, fish for salmon and trout, or have a dip! Each cottage is well-equipped and furnished and has a woodburner, making them a superb all year round base for a holiday in this beautiful area. A variety of birds and red squirrels are regular garden visitors. Easy road access to the quieter western lakes and fells, Ennerdale Water 2 miles. Cumbrian Coast 10 miles. Walking, cycling, climbing and riding locally. Free fishing in season by arrangement. Cockermouth and the Georgian port of Whitehaven, both 10 miles. Shops 3 miles, two pubs serving meals in Ennerdale Bridge ½ mile.
