These holiday cottages are situated in the middle of the pretty village of Exhall. Parts of the farmhouse date back to Tudor times and for centuries it’s been the home of the local clergyman who both cultivated the land and preached in the tiny church next door. William Shakespeare is alleged to have referred in a poem to ’Dodging Exhall’ and the tag has remained ever since. If you wish to dodge the hustle and bustle of the 21st century, you could do no better than stay in this delightful place, for although peace and quiet is in plenty, a 10 minute drive will take you to Stratford-upon-Avon, 40 minutes to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, or Broadway in the beautiful Cotswolds Hills. All this, plus plenty of local country pubs serving good food and the many historic houses and castles that abound in the area, make this an ideal holiday location for exploring the Heart of England. Shops 2 miles, pub ½ mile.
