This graceful elegant Grade II listed holiday home is situated at the end of a no-through road in a stunning elevated location, adjacent to Keats Green and offering superb panoramic views over Sandown Bay. It is believed that Keats himself stayed at the property, and was inspired to write 'A Thing If Beauty And Joy Forever' whilst taking in the breathtaking scenery. Originally built in the 1800's, it was formerly a gentlemans club, and has been fully refurbished in recent years, yet still retaining features such as high ceilings. Poets View House forms a very spacious wing of this beautiful building, and has been designed with the living accommodation on the first floor to maximise on the superb sea and cliff-face views. Very convenient for the Shanklin beach, the chair-lift is only 100 yards away down to the golden sandy seaside, with waterside bars, restaurants and children's entertainment. Also the magical Shanklin Chine, a tropical oasis. The pretty thatched roofs of the old town is 2 minutes walk. Sandown is closeby, with plenty of family fun such as the zoo, slides, putting, trampolines, arcades and leisure centre with indoor pool. This temperate isle has some wonderful walks along towering cliffs, river valleys and a network of footpaths including 68 coastal walks.
