A superb detached holiday cottage, just a short walk from the centre of Ambleside with all its excellent amenities, watersports and ferries from Waterhead Pier on Lake Windermere. Surrounded by magnificent fells for walking, climbing or mountain biking this is an excellent holiday location to explore the Lake District. The village of Grasmere, 5 miles, hosts Dove Cottage where romantic poet William Wordsworth wrote much of his famous poetry, now a museum and art gallery. Visit attractions such as the Brockhole Visitor Centre, Beatrix Potter Exhibition and many NT properties are all within a short drive. Shops 400 yards and pub 100 yards.
