Holiday activities include painting, riding, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, swimming, cycling, mountain biking, golfing and fell walking, or leisurely strolls along the world-renowned Lake Windermere, the marina and steamer piers at Bowness-on-Windermere. A visit to the Lake District is not complete without a cruise on Lake Windermere. The visitor attractions include; Beatrice Potter’s home and museum, Brockhole Visitor Centre, Lake Aquarium at Lakeside Newby Bridge. Countless National Trust historic houses abound in this fascinating area with Blackwell, Holker Hall in Cartmel, Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall to name but a few.
