It has far reaching views and provides a perfect retreat for those seeking very good quality accommodation and facilities. There are many amenities in the nearby attractive market towns of Appleby, 5 miles or Penrith, 8 miles. Activities for children include the World of Beatrix Potter at Bowness on Windermere, Rheged, and endless countryside. Sockenber Farm is no longer a working farm and is surrounded by wonderful rolling countryside, ideal for walking, cycling and exploring the Lakes and Pennines. Shops 5 miles, pub ½ mile.
