There are lovely views of the surrounding countryside from the light and spacious living areas. During your stay you can explore most of the estate, enjoy the private Carp and Trout fishing, horse riding and clay pigeon shooting is available by prior arrangement with the owners. Okehampton is the nearest town providing supermarkets and other local amenities. The town is also the ’Gateway to Dartmoor’ with its stunning scenery and walks for all abilities to enjoy. The location of the cottage makes an ideal holiday base from which to explore the North Cornwall and Devon areas, with Launceston for shopping and Roadford for sailing and fishing. There are stunning beaches at Woolacombe and Sandymouth. or enjoy a day out at Hartland and visit the lighthouse, Hartland Quay and the Historic fishing village at Clovelly. If gardens really are of interest, you will find the R.H.S Gardens at Rosemoor a delight and there are numerous National Trust Properties in the surrounding area to enjoy. Other activities include golf or hire a bike and explore the Tarka Trail. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
