This early 19th century flint fronted holiday cottage is just a few yards down the road from Bleak House, the favourite seaside residence of the novelist Charles Dickens. He wrote the greater part of David Copperfield here, immortalizing it as the home of the hero’s Aunt Betsy, and drafted the idea for Bleak House. Situated on the cliff top of Broadstairs’ sandy Viking Bay, ideally placed for coastal walks or explore the quaint squares of fishermen’s cottages.
