Romers Farm consists of two semi-detached properties situated in the owner’s grounds on a working farm, in the village of Bockleton, near to the historic market town of Tenbury Wells. The former Hop Kiln and Wainhouse have been sympathetically converted, retaining many original features, and provide two spacious and comfortable holiday properties. There is carp fishing available 500 metres from the property. (from 2012). This is an excellent base from which to explore Worcestershire, Shropshire and Herefordshire with a wealth of activities. A short drive takes you to Ludlow, famous for its castle, festivals, quaint streets, shops and open markets; it also has an abundance of restaurants and eateries for fine dining, some Michelin starred, and it is a definite must for a visit. The area boasts an abundance of National Trust properties including Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, Hampton Court Gardens and the Brockhampton Estate, all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day out to the cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester and the abbey at Tewkesbury. For the more active there is golf, horse riding and carp fishing available locally. Offa’s Dyke and the Malvern Hills, for serious walkers, are within easy reach. Book lovers can enjoy a trip to the renowned book town of Hay-on-Wye whilst theatre lovers can venture out to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and the home of Anne Hathaway with her beautiful cottage.
