It is also renowned for pine and antique shops, and regularly holds antique fairs on the showground. The famous River Trent nearby is an excellent coarse fishing water. Newark is close to The Dukeries, with numerous National Trust homes close by. Lincoln is 18 miles, Nottingham is 16 miles and Sherwood Forest is a short drive.
