Ideally situated for visiting the local historical and picturesque towns and villages of Suffolk and Essex. Nearby villages include Lavenham, Long Melford and Clare. Also within easy reach are Sudbury - the home of the artist Gainsborough, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester - the oldest recorded town in Britain, and Newmarket for a day at the races or a visit to the National Horse Racing Museum.
