A pair of single-storey holiday cottages converted from a traditional Somerset Longbarn and situated on a working beef and sheep farm. Cider Apple Cottage (Ref ETB) and Cherry Plum Cottage (Ref ETC) are made of natural stone and have been designed to show the original features. Floor to ceiling windows ensure lots of light floods into the cottages, and concertina-style patio doors lead onto the spacious and fully enclosed patio area. Situated on the Isle of Wedmore, where King Arthur famously signed The Treaty of Wedmore in 878AD, Stoughton Cross is only 3 miles from The Mendip Hills and is surrounded by the Somerset Levels. The area is a mecca for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and golfers, and is also ideally situated for those who prefer exploring the villages, towns and cities in the area. Bristol and Bath are less than an hour’s drive away, as is Taunton. The seaside at Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea are less than 30 minutes. Cheddar and its famous gorge are only 3 miles away, and the smallest city in England, Wells, is only 9 miles. There are a number of nature reserves close by and many National Trust properties.
