Lying between Dartmoor and the sea, Squireswood is situated in the Teignbridge area, edging the South Hams region amongst some of Devon’s most fertile land and there is also access to many of the West’s most popular coastal resorts. The so-called English Riviera - comprising the Torbay region, encompasses the popular resorts of Torquay, Paignton and picturesque Brixham, whilst the thriving estuary town of Teignmouth, with its harbour lies further alongside Dawlish - a smaller and less commercialised resort where Charles Dickens’ character Nicholas Nickleby was born. To the west of the property lies the vast expanse of the Dartmoor National Park, heather clad and roamed by sheep and wild ponies. At its centre, the tumbling streams and high tors characterise Dartmoor Forest, which has been owned by the Duchy of Cornwall since 1307.
