A charming detached stone-built holiday cottage, stylishly furnished, at the edge of the beautiful Lythe Valley only 10 miles from Bowness and Windermere. There are walks from the door and many cycle paths nearby, making this a superb base. At the northern end of Lake Windermere lies Ambleside and the magnificent Langdale Pikes, whilst the lake itself offers water-sports and boat trips. The area is rich in historic houses and gardens with Sizergh Castle, Holker Hall and Levens Hall all within a short drive. Other attractions include the Aquarium of the Lakes, the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and the Lakeside to Haverthwaite Steam Railway. Shop 3 miles, pub 100 yards.
