Excellent location for walking, with the Pennine Way passing within a little over a mile. Convenient for touring the historic market towns of Hexham and Corbridge, 11 miles. Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Kielder Water, Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle and the coast. Scotland and the Lake District within easy reach. Shops and pubs 1/2 mile.
