Once linked to Chirk Castle, and also serving separately as a store where grapes were crushed, a private dwelling and an inn, this attractive 450-year-old, detached, Grade II listed cottage makes a delightful holiday home. Many of its timbers were originally part of an old ship, and the property has complete character - open fires, a wealth of beams, original panelling and large enclosed garden. Set on the A5, Drumore has a prime location, just outside Chirk - which has two NT properties. In the opposite direction is Llangollen, one of Wales top tourist areas, renowned for its Eisteddfods, horse drawn canal trips and steam railway. Park Hall working farm is nearby as well as many historical buildings. In North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park, there are plenty of water activities such as canoeing and white water rafting to enjoy. Shops ¼ mile and pubs ½ mile.
