Jacobean red brick and Tudor half-timbered shops and houses surround the square. The North Downs Way is on the doorstep. Dover Castle, Leeds Castle, Belmont House and the Edwardian gardens at Mount Ephraim are worth a visit. Shops, restaurant and pubs ½ mile.
