Approached by a gated track and idyllically sited within easy level walking distance of Bakewell, this cottage (to the right of stables building – largest building in photograph) has been converted with a keen eye for detail. Set in fields, adjacent to the meadows used for the Bakewell Show (first Wed and Thurs in August), it is well situated close to the River Wye – perfect for quiet evening walks. Bakewell, the ‘capital’ of the Peak National Park, has a busy weekly livestock market and swimming pool. This is a wonderfully tranquil base from which to explore (both on foot and by car) the many delights of Derbyshire’s rugged and magnificent landscape and its fine, historic country houses (Haddon Hall is within easy walking distance). Golf, riding, fishing and tennis locally. Shops 1 mile.
Cosy, compact beamed living/dining room. Modern fitted kitchen. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Single bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.
