This attractive holiday cottage adjoins the owners’ 17th-century farmhouse and enjoys its own driveway and pretty lawned garden. Tucked down a little lane, it lies 500 yards from the heart of the attractive old village of Hognaston which stands on a hillside overlooked by Hognaston Wynn. Many houses in the village date back to the 17th/18th century, as does the pub. Close by is beautiful Carsington Water (superb windsurfing and sailing centre) with an area devoted to wildlife along with cycle and walking trails. Just 4 miles from the picturesque market town of Ashbourne and a short drive to Dove Dale and the other lovely dales of the limestone White Peak District. Shop 2 miles, pub 500 yards.
Living/dining room with oil ‘wood-burner’ and sofa bed (for alternative sleeping only). Galley-style kitchen with tiled floor. Rear hall/boot room. Separate toilet. First floor: Double bedroom with 6ft bed (can form twin beds) with en-suite shower room and toilet.
