Boasting wonderful views over the golf course and St Ives Bay beyond, this truly magnificent property has been completed to the highest standard, offering spacious accommodation – with a charming conservatory/dining-room at first floor level, making the most of the amazing panoramic views. Standing detached, the house is set adjacent to West Cornwall Golf Course and a short distance from a secluded sandy beach, making this a truly wonderful location for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.
The clear light and seaside colours of St Ives have attracted artists and craftspeople since the 1920s and it is as popular today as it was then. A pretty fishing village, St Ives is now home to the award-winning Tate Gallery, with its roof-top café and the Barbara Hepworth Museum – both are enough to keep any culture vulture happy for hours. Around the harbour there are narrow hilly streets, full of smaller galleries and craft studios as well as many quaint tearooms serving the famous cream teas. Beach lovers will not be disappointed – the beaches are wide, sandy and clean – and swimming in the clear blue sea is an endless pleasure, while the rock pools will keep children and adults entertained for hours. At Lands End, the furthest point west of England, views to the Isles of Scilly can sometimes be seen and moving further round the coast, the famous Minack Theatre, built into the side of cliffs provides the perfect setting for plays and open-air concerts.
Further north up the coast, visitors will find Newquay, probably Cornwall’s busiest and most popular resort. With its vast expanse of sandy beaches and Atlantic rollers this is one of the country’s top surfing resorts. Many competitions are held throughout the summer and are well worth watching if possible. Shops and pub ½ mile.
