Standing as a pair, they each boast private patios, and benefit from shared use of large woodland and grounds, complete with a hard tennis court and a games room. They lie just 3 miles from the shores of Loch Leven and Lochleven Castle, the island stronghold served as a prison to Mary Queen of Scots in 1567, until her escape 11 months later. Popular with fishermen, for its pink-fleshed trout, the loch is also a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with the RSPB Nature Reserve, Vane Farm, occupying the land adjacent. Historic Perth (15 miles) offers good shopping, restaurants and a wealth of diverse attractions, whilst Edinburgh and Glasgow are within an hour’s drive. Rosyth ferry port within half an hour’s drive. Kinross (2 miles) for golf course. Riding and sailing nearby. Shop and pub serving food, 2 miles.
