Ideally situated for any type of holiday, this large detached cottage is just over 1 mile from the pretty village of Newport with its annual festival in August and mini regatta at the end of the summer. The area has a huge variety of activities on offer: hillwalking on the Nephin Way, activity centres at Achill, golf at Westport, Castlebar and Mulranny (which also has a Blue Flag beach and riding). There are miles of unspoilt shorelines to be explored on Clew Bay and deep sea angling is available by arrangement with the owner. The Brown Oak river is 50 yards from the cottage for wonderful salmon fishing (local permits available). Belmullet and Ballina make for pleasant drives, whilst Connemara is an enjoyable scenic day trip. Shops, restaurants and pubs 1.25 miles.
