At the base of dramatic cliffs on the western edge of Seil Island, the neat white-washed cottages of Ellenabeich were built by the slate quarrymen working on nearby Easdale Island.
In its heyday 600 families lived both here and on the Island and the industry thrived until 1881 when severe storms flooded the quarry. Today Ellenabeich is a peaceful and picturesque holiday destination. The property was originally the workshop of the late C. John Taylor.
It is in a beautiful location on the waters edge facing the jetty and taking advantage of the wonderful seascape. Completely refurbished the ground floor apartment is ideal accommodation for 2/4 people and can also be booked with property W40217 to sleep up to 8 people.
