Set almost midway between Oban and Fort William it is an ideal base from which to explore the beauty of the surrounding area. Walking and cycling are popular activities, with horse riding, boat and cycle hire available locally. Golf courses can be found in Oban, Ballachulish and Fort William. Glen Coe and Fort William offer mountain climbing and walking and skiing in season.

Oban (19 miles), offers boat trips to the Islands, including Mull and Iona.
