Ideal touring base
Set on the fringe of the Northumberland National Park, this adjoining holiday home has been tastefully restored from a 19th century farm building and stand adjacent to the owners home. Reached by a long private gravel drive, the cottage stands in a peaceful rural setting, one mile from the small village of West Woodburn. West Woodburn lies in the deep valley of the Rede on the A68, which follows the Roman road from York to Scotland. There are many interesting places to visit within an easy, scenic drive, including Kielder Water, Hadrians Wall, and the interesting historic market towns of Hexham, Corbridge, Rothbury and Alnwick. This is an ideal location for exploring the whole of this area from the Northumbrian Heritage Coast to inland National Park areas and up into the borderlands of Scotland. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
