Irton Manor is located on the outskirts of the elegant seaside town of Scarborough. Set in over 35 acres of landscaped gardens with woodland walks, a tennis court and small lake, guests are welcome to explore. Peace and tranquillity is the order of the day - inside the gated, private estate, the stunning grounds fall away before you. Scarborough was Britain’s first seaside resort and has been welcoming guests for more than 300 years. There are two bays to north and south overlooked by the 12th century castle ruins and boasting wide stretches of award winning beaches. There is a colourful promenade with fun fair, fishing and boating trips on offer, an 18-hole cliff top golf course and some beautiful parks. Don’t miss the music festival held on the South Bay when the beaches become a stage for the live bands. An evening at the Steven Joseph Theatre where the acclaimed Alan Ayckbourn plays will never disappoint. The town centre offers an eclectic mix of shops and a host of inns and tea rooms. Fine dining can be enjoyed in one of the many restaurants. Use of beach chalet (at extra cost) by prior arrangement with the owners.
