This charming semi-detached holiday cottage, formerly a monk’s retreat, dates back to 1640 and is full of delightful beams, stone floors and is prettily furnished.
Situated above Lake Coniston amongst the woods, through which there is a short path down to the lake, the property is right in the heart of the Lakes National Park.
It is situated 2 miles from Coniston, 5 miles from Ambleside, a mile from Tarn Howes, and with Grizedale Forest behind you. Windermere is a short ferry trip across the lake, and there is fabulous fell walking in the immediate area.
